Chavez Calls for Unity against US Imperialism

Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) -- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Thursday called on South American countries to unite against the "imperialism" of the United States. This call was made at a press conference during his visit to Bolivia

"The empire is going crazy and it's a real threat to world peace as the imperialism has entered its phase of extreme craziness," Chavez said.

Chavez said that it was important that countries in South America consolidate themselves as a region of peace before the threat of their northern neighbor.
