DPRK Team's Participation in 2011 Women's World Cup Welcomed
Pyongyang, April 2 (KCNA) -- An event was held by the delegation of the Organizing Committee for the 2011 Women's World Cup at the People's Palace of Culture Saturday to welcome the DPRK team's participation in the 2011 Women's World Cup.

Present there were Ri Jong Mu, chairman of the DPRK Football Association, Ri Yong Chol, vice-department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Ri Jong Hyok, chairman of the DPRK-Germany Friendship Parliamentary Group, Mun Jae Chol, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, officials concerned and players and coaches to participate in the 2011 Women's World Cup.

Diplomatic envoys and representatives of international organizations here were present there on invitation.

Also present there were the delegation of the Organizing Committee for the 2011 Women's World Cup led by Theo Zwanziger, president of the German Football Association, Ambassador Gerhard Thiedemann and staff members of German embassy here.

Congratulatory speeches were followed by a show of videos on the preparations for the world cup.

A reception was given.
