Food Festival Held
Pyongyang, April 2 (KCNA) -- A food festival was held in Pyongyang recently.

On display at the festival were many kinds of food, including Pyongyang fare, and national drinks.

Fried chicken pectoral seasoned with applesauce and steamed carp seasoned with strawberry juice presented by the Mangyongdae District Restaurants Management Office were highly appreciated at the festival for their good taste and colors.

Mung-bean jelly salad prepared by Kil Yong Hui, a cook of the Pothonggang District Restaurants Management Office, also caught visitors' eyes for its strong national coloring and peculiar cookery.

The Taedonggang and Mangyongdae District Restaurants Management Offices won the team title and Kwon Yong Ae, a cook of the Tongmun Crossroads Restaurant took the individual title.

Sin Mun Gil, vice-chairman of the Pyongyang City Committee of the Korean Association of Cooks, told KCNA that some selected dishes are qualified for the 16th April Holiday Food Festival.
