Settlement of Issue of Registration Fee Urged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, April 2 (KCNA) -- The south Korean puppet police authorities are recklessly suppressing the actions of student, civic and public organizations demanding the settlement of the issue of registration fee.

The National Network for Civic and Public Organizations for Measures for Settling the Issue of Registration Fee worked out a plan to hold a rally of citizens and students at Seoul University road for having the registration fee cut down by half and marched as far as Korea University on April 2. The network groups at least 550 organizations including the south Korean Federation of University Students in the 21st Century, the Citizen's Solidarity for Democratic Society and the Society of Parents of Students for Genuine Education.

But the puppet police authorities turned down the application for the above-said rally on March 11 under the pretext of the issue of main road and traffic jam and took the same stand on March 30.

The organization declared that it would carry on its actions till its demands are met, noting that the precondition put up by the police was nothing but a pretext for blocking the above-said actions.
