Wen Jiabao, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and premier of the State Council, at the meeting underlined the need for the leading officials to be upright and honest in life, fully eliminate luxury, waste and formalism and achieve fresh successes in enforcing clean-handed politics and combating corruption.
