The puppet navy staged large naval drills including the one for dropping depth bombs in the East, West and South seas of Korea for several days with dozens of warships, sea patrol planes and helicopters involved. The ground and air forces staged live-shell firing exercises in the "Sungjin drill ground" in Kyonggi Province with various type artillery pieces, F-15k fighters and other huge armed forces involved.

The south Korean military authorities are using the said case as a justification for rounding off the preparations for a new war.

They invested several times field commanding officers not only of the frontline units but of all other units of the army with the right to start operations and open fire with their own determinations. They introduced a huge quantity of war hardware from the U.S. and inducted them to the puppet army.

They have staged the largest-ever combined naval maneuvers and joint military exercises in league with the U.S. for the last several months, claiming that they were aimed to deter someone's "additional provocations." They are, at the same time, keen to mount a preemptive attack on the DPRK anytime.

It is as clear as noonday that such actions are screwing up the situation on the Korean Peninsula and pushing it to the brink of war.

What merits a more serious attention is that the puppet clique is using the above-said case as a card for instilling the war consciousness and spirit of inter-Korean confrontation into the younger generation and all other south Koreans.

It sponsored memorial services and other events in Seoul and other places from March 24 to 28 in a bid to brand the case as a "provocation" by the DPRK.

Worse still, it took people to the theatres of military exercises and went the lengths of erecting even a "cenotaph" on Paekryong Island.

The military exercises and memorial services staged by the puppet clique on the above-said occasion are nothing but the confrontation hysteria kicked up to create military and political environment for orchestrating the second and third "Cheonan" cases.

Intolerable are its moves to cook up the second "Cheonan" case.

The army and people of the DPRK will never remain a passive onlooker to the moves of the south Korean military authorities for aggression but sternly retaliate against them.
