Quick Production Method of Soybean Malt Developed
Pyongyang, March 28 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Research Institute of Nutritive Foodstuffs for Children has developed a new method of quickly making soybean malt, a traditional foodstuff of the Korean nation.

The institute invented a method of culturing hay bacillus, lactic bacterium and mold extracted from soybean balls made by the traditional method.

The institute also solved technical issues arising in its fermentation and quality change in a scientific way.

The new method takes only 20-30 days to make soybean malt with a good flavor.

The new method is applicable to households, too.
