You put Kim Il Sung's nation on the position of a political and ideological power, a military power that has access to a nuclear deterrent and a scientific and technological power. The credit for this goes to his Songun politics, a great political mode in the era of independence and an ever-victorious banner of the Korean revolution.

You frustrated the strong-arm actions and arbitraries of the imperialists and the offensive to stifle the DPRK on the part of the U.S. imperialists and their satellite forces by dint of Songun and firmly protected Korean-style socialism centered on the popular masses. This instilled the confidence in victory and courage into the world progressive political parties and people struggling for a new society.

All the participants are unanimous in extending the warmest congratulations and the best wishes to you who are rendering the undying services for the accomplishment of the cause of global independence and the human cause of independence.

The letter stressed that the participants are convinced that the coming decades in the 21st century will shine as those of great victory of the experienced and seasoned politics of Kim Jong Il.
