Accompanying him were senior officials of the party and the army Kim Jong Un, Ri Yong Ho, Kim Yong Chun, Jang Song Thaek, Kim Jong Gak, Pak To Chun and Ju Kyu Chang, members of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea Kim Won Hong, Kim Myong Guk, Jong Myong Do, Ri Pyong Chol, Choe Pu Il, Kim Yong Chol, Choe Sang Ryo and Yun Jong Rin, department directors of the National Defence Commission Hyon Chol Hae and Ri Myong Su and general officers of the KPA.

Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the WPK and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, warmly congratulated the participants in the meeting and had a photo session with them.

He highly appreciated the feats performed by the officials in the field of arms and equipment, saying that they are men of pure conscience, true patriots, precious treasures of the country and genuine comrades-in-arms of the WPK as they have worked heart and soul for bolstering arms and combat and technical equipment without expecting others to recognize them or seeking any honor and reward.

He expressed conviction that all the officials, soldiers, scientists, technicians and employees in the field of arms and equipment including the participants of the meeting would live up with loyalty to the Party's deep trust and great expectation.
