Anti-Epizootic Campaign
Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- The veterinary and anti-epizootic work has been intensified in the DPRK.

The government set every March and April as months for veterinary, hygienic and anti-epizootic campaign.

The State Emergency Veterinary and Anti-Epizootic Commission has worked out a program for prevention of epidemics and called for a nationwide effort to implement it.

Activities have been conducted throughout the country to combat the foot-and-mouth disease.

Pig and cattle farms are sterilized in a scientific way.

Achievements in treating domestic animals infected by the disease are widely introduced.

Meanwhile, a bird flu prevention system is working well, involving observation of migrant birds and examination of dead wild birds.

Cooperation with relevant international organizations, including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), is also strengthened.
