S. Korean Police's Crackdown upon Students Censured
Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Federation of University Students in the 21st Century held a meeting at Korea University on Monday to denounce the fascist police's crackdown upon students.

That day, the south Korean fascist police apprehended the former chairman of the students' economic and academic organization and two other leading members.

They also conducted a search and confiscation operation against the houses of the organization's 9 members including the three leading members and the former chairman of the Seoul District Federation of University Student Councils.

Speakers at the meeting accused the police of taking the above-said action on charges of violating the "National Security Law", claiming that they formed the organization as instructed by the north and adopted an "enemy-benefiting" action program in March 2007.

They branded this suppression as a shameless action of the present regime to make students scapegoats for maintaining its fascist power.

Meanwhile, the police walked off more than 50 students under the University Students Solidarity for Culture when they were staging a demo in protest against the authorities' crackdown before the anti-communist branch in Hongje-dong, Seoul.
