Russia Opposes Military Attack on Libya

| Moscow, March 22 (KCNA) -- An official spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Sunday clarified the stand of Russia opposing the West-led multinational forces' military attack on Libya. He held that the use of the mandate given by the United Nations Security Council resolution 1973 which calls for taking only measures for the protection of civilians should not be allowed for meeting sinister aims. Russia strongly urges the relevant countries to stop the indiscriminate use of force, he stressed. |
