National Seminar on Juche Idea Held in Pakistan
Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- A national seminar on the Juche idea was held in Karachi, Pakistan on Mar. 19. It discussed self-reliance and economic development.

Javed Ansari, secretary general of the Society for the Study of Self-Reliance of Pakistan, made a keynote report. It was followed by speeches.

The speakers said that President Kim Il Sung embarked on the road of the revolution in his teens and founded the immortal Juche idea and successfully applied it to the revolution and construction.

They noted with appreciation that, guided by the Juche idea, General Secretary Kim Jong Il is steering the building of a thriving nation to victory while decisively foiling the U.S. persistent moves to stifle the DPRK with his unique Songun politics.

The Juche idea serves as a great idea imbuing the people with confidence, courage and fresh strength, they said. Pakistan should learn from the Juche idea to become an independent country like the DPRK that stands firm against big powers and a genuine country for the people where they have become the master of the country.

2012 is a significant year marking the centenary of birth of the President, they said. They called for vigorously conducting the activities to study and disseminate the Juche idea so as to participate in the world conference of the Juche idea with bigger success.

Adopted at the seminar was a resolution. It called for more actively studying and disseminating the Juche idea to significantly commemorate the centenary of birth of the President and positively contribute to building a free and prosperous country.

A letter to Kim Jong Il was adopted there.
