Togolese President Supports Korean People's Efforts for Reunification

| Pyongyang, March 23 (KCNA) -- We are rejoiced over the big successes made by the Korean people in their efforts to build a thriving nation, said Togolese President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe when receiving credentials from the DPRK ambassador to his country on Mar. 17. The good relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries were provided by former President Eyadema and President Kim Il Sung, he said, adding: Kim Il Sung is a great man recognized by the world. He gave much support and cooperation to Togo. It is our duty to carry forward the historic bilateral relations. We hope that the bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation will continue to develop. We also hope that Korea will be reunified by federal formula and in a peaceful way through dialogue and negotiations. We support the Korean people's endeavors for peace on the Korean Peninsula and its reunification. |
