S. Korean Authorities Urged to Repeal War Policy
Pyongyang, March 22 (KCNA) -- The escalating tension in the Korean Peninsula is consequent on the south Korean authorities' treacherous moves to ignite a war against the DPRK. They worked in collusion with foreign forces in utter disregard of the peaceful reunification of the country and the destiny of the nation.

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says this in a by-lined article.

The tension is a product of the south Korean authorities' war policy and a clear proof of their criminal ambition to escalate confrontation of systems which calls for denying the idea and system of the DPRK, the article notes, citing facts to prove this.

It is the consistent stand and policy of the DPRK to ensure peace in the peninsula and achieve the peaceful reunification of the country, the article says, adding:

If either the north or the south tries to enforce one's own system upon the other side, it will naturally lead to confrontation and war.

The south Korean authorities put up "no nuke, opening and 3000 dollars" as their "policy toward the DPRK". This is aimed to force the DPRK to disarm itself and allure it into "reform and opening" and thus realize "unification under liberal democratic system". The chief executive of south Korea, too, openly said that it is his "dream and ultimate goal."

The ongoing U.S.-south Korea joint military drills proved once again that the south Korean authorities seek confrontation of systems and "unification of systems", not dialogue and peace.

The south Korean authorities turned the biggest joint military maneuvers into a test war for doing harm to the DPRK's dignified system by force. This shows that their ambition for "unification of systems" reached an extremely dangerous stage.

If the tension in the peninsula is to be defused it is necessary for the south Korean authorities to make a switchover in their confrontation policy and stop the war provocations against the DPRK as demanded by all Koreans.
