Protracted Foal Eagle Is Prelude to US War of Aggression on DPRK
Pyongyang, March 22 (KCNA) -- The United States kicked off with south Korea the Foal Eagle joint military rehearsal on February 28 which will last till April 30. This is the largest- and longest-ever joint military maneuvers in the history of U.S.-south Korea joint saber-rattling as its period is 39 days longer than what was staged last year.

Minju Joson Tuesday observes in a signed commentary in this regard:

The above-said joint military exercises are a prelude to the U.S. war of aggression on the DPRK.

Through the longest-ever exercises the U.S. seeks to create a favorable environment for igniting a new war. It also schemes to mount a surprise preemptive attack on the DPRK under the pretext of someone's "provocation" during the exercises.

The grave situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula once again goes to prove that the U.S. prefers war to dialogue and negotiations.

The danger of the second Korean war is increasing on the peninsula every hour due to the U.S. strategy for a war of aggression on the DPRK, the strategy that has entered the phase of its full-scale implementation.

The U.S. is, however, seriously mistaken.

It is the tradition and firm faith of the revolutionary army of the DPRK to reliably protect its sovereignty and peace in Korea with arms.

The U.S. persistent reckless moves for a war of aggression on the DPRK would only precipitate its shameful fiasco.
