Production of Vinalon Cloth Begins
Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- The officials and workers of the Hamhung Woolen Mill in the DPRK began producing vinalon cloth. They built a modern process of spinning vinalon band into thread.

The converting and spinning shop was rebuilt, laying a solid foundation for weaving any vinalon cloth as wished. Vinalon finally became to prove its worth in improving the people's living standard and developing the country's industry.

The engineering shop, the maintenance shop and the auxiliary parts shop of the mill solved scientific and technological problems in close touch with officials and technicians of the Ministry of Light Industry and the Management Bureau for Textile Industry. They succeeded in making more than 140 kinds of nearly 100,000 key and auxiliary parts.

The technological updating and power and intra-networking for the efficient provision of temperature and humidity of worksites also made brisk headway, providing conditions for finishing the reconstruction of production process ahead of schedule.

The officials and workers of the mill pushed forward the huge project of installing dozens of fiber processing equipment at the February 8 Vinalon Complex at the same time, thus making it possible to complete the production processes in a rational way.

Officials in Pyongyang and province rendered active help to the workers of the mill in updating equipment. This resulted in the establishment of simple yet profitable vinalon cloth production system.
