South Africa Rejects US Request

| Pyongyang, March 19 (KCNA) -- The South African government said on Tuesday it had rejected a U.S. request to block former Haitian President Jean Bertrand Aristide's return to Haiti. The deputy Foreign Minister of South Africa said that the country does not have the legal facilities to stop the return to Haiti of Aristide. "It is not for us to say if Aristide should or should not leave South Africa before elections in Haiti," he said. |
