The Nepali paper Arpan noted that the army and the people of the DPRK are performing feats every day with patriotic devotion to the country, firmly convinced that the day is sure to come when they will enjoy great happiness as long as they are led by Kim Jong Il.

The chairman of the Guinea-Korea Friendship Association noted that the Korean people successfully launched two satellites by their own efforts and with indigenous technology, built the UHP electric arc furnaces, perfected a Juche-based steel-making system and broke through the ultra-modern level of CNC technology, he added.

The Finnish paper Tyokansan Sanomat said that late in the last century the imperialist allied forces claimed it was a matter of time for the DPRK to collapse but it embarked upon the road of building a socialist thriving nation to win the admiration of the world.

The Thai paper Xing San Daily said that the DPRK, now a political, ideological and military power, will be called a thriving nation both in name and reality if it attains the goal of an economic power.
