Russia Not to Be Affected by Explosions at Japanese Nuclear Power Plant
Moscow, March 16 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Russian Atomic Energy Institute for Security and Development said at a recent press conference that Russia would not be affected by what happened at the Japanese nuclear power plant.

He held that even if the worst case took place at the power plant, Russian citizens would not suffer from radioactivity.

It was reported that the Far Eastern Region of Russia is monitoring day and night the effect of radiation materials leakage from the Japanese nuclear power plant and the radiation level in the region including Khabarovsk Territory and the Kuril Islands has not gone beyond limit.
