S. Korea: Vice-Minister's Remarks on Youth Issue Decried
Pyongyang, March 18 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Democracy, People's Life, Peaceful Reunification and Sovereignty of south Korea released a commentary on March 15 condemning deceptive remarks made by the vice-minister of Education, Science and Technology evading the responsibility for the youth issue.

The commentary said:

During a broadcasting program on March 12 he said that "education fund shall be turned into good account to relieve students of their burden of registration fee". He also said that "they will never make vain efforts if they do their best to learn just as a saying goes that heavy work in youth is quiet rest in old age".

The youth unemployment rate rises every year and the number of university students committing suicide weighed down by registration fee is on the increase. This is so deplorable reality.

The commitment to halve the registration fee made by the present chief executive during election campaign turned out to be a lie after three years, proving that it was only deceptive signboard to win in the election.

The vice-minister shifted the responsibility for the youth issue on to the university students, youth and people. He just resembles the present chief executive in impertinence.
