Turkish FM Lashes Out against European Visa Walls

| Pyongyang, March 17 (KCNA) -- Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu accused the European Union Monday of not compromising on lifting the European visa barriers for Turkish citizens. Speaking to a panel during the Leaders of Change Summit 2011 held in Istanbul Monday, Davutoglu said in harsh tones that Europe was "building a visa wall in Edirne," Turkey's northwesternmost city on the border with Greece and Bulgaria. Davutoglu has complained on several occasions about the European "visa walls" and "double standards" against Turkey. |
