S. Korean Minister's Anti-DPRK Remarks Blasted
Pyongyang, March 15 (KCNA) -- Hyon In Thaek, minister of Unification of south Korea, at a recent seminar let loose a string of balderdash against the DPRK. He said that south Korea is "striving for dialogue, cooperation, peace and unification," adding that it is "very difficult" to improve the north-south relations. He also made confrontational remarks such as "leading the north to denuclearization and opening." He went the lengths of asserting that there cannot be debates on other issues as they are "hardcore task for peace" and "basic goal of the north policy."

Blasting his remarks, Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes in a bylined commentary:

His remarks prove that the south Korean authorities have no willingness to mend the stalled north-south relations and only seek to harm and stifle the DPRK in league with foreign forces.

He is a top class criminal who should have stood a trial before the nation for his anti-reunification acts of treachery.

His recent malarkey stemmed from his poor calculation that he can keep a high profile of himself and thus keep his post as minister.

He has made confrontational remarks whenever an opportunity presented itself, far from stepping down from his post. This clearly shows once again that he is a trouble-maker of the nation who escalates distrust and confrontation between the north and the south and blocks the north-south relations from making improvement.

No matter how desperately he may try to prolong his short remaining days, it will prove futile. He is bound to stand a stern judgment by history as he has chilled the aspiration of the fellow countrymen for reunification while laying hurdles in the way of improving the north-south relations.
