Memorial Service for Korean Victims Held in Tokyo
Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- A memorial service for Korean victims was held in Tokyo on March 5, 66 years since U.S. forces' air raid on Tokyo.

Present there were Pak Ku Ho, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), Jin Kil Sang, vice-chairman of the Rights and Welfare Committee of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, and other officials of Chongryon and compatriots, students of Tokyo Korean Middle and High School and Japanese personages.

The participants paid silent tribute to the victims.

Speeches were made by a member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly, a member of Nakano District, Tokyo Metropolis, Assembly, a Christian pastor and a representative of the Society for Remembering the Korean Victims of the Air Raid on Tokyo.

Introduced at the memorial service were letters sent by Mizuho Fukushima, head of the Social-Democratic Party of Japan, and Akihiro Hatsushiga, member of the House of Representatives from the Japan Democratic Party.

The service heard a memorial address sent by the Committee on Measures for Compensation to Former Korean "Comfort Women" for Japanese Army and Drafting Victims and the Committee for Investigation into Victims of Forced Drafting during Anti-Japanese Resistance, the Committee for Supporting Victims of Forced Drafting Abroad and other support committees.
