Show of Stamps Opens in DPRK
Pyongyang, March 9 (KCNA) -- A show of Korean stamps was opened to mark the lapse of 65 years after the first stamp was issued in the DPRK.

Seen at the show is the enlarged photo of a stamp carrying portraits of President Kim Il Sung, General Secretary Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero.

On display there are stamps of more than 5,600 kinds issued since the first stamp was released in Korea after its liberation. They show the gains made by the army and people of the DPRK in politics, military affairs, economy, culture, science, sports and other fields true to the guidance of the Party and the leader.

Its opening ceremony took place at the Korean Stamp Exhibition Hall Wednesday.

Present there were Ryu Yong Sop, minister of Post and Telecommunications, officials concerned, philatelists and working people in the city of Pyongyang.
