Pyongyang to Be Garbed in Green
Pyongyang, March 9 (KCNA) -- A project is progressing in Pyongyang to make the city covered with green foliage.

Ku Kyong Sun, a section chief of the Pyongyang City People's Committee, told KCNA that the project had been prepared from late last year and it would take a few years for the project to be finished.

Floricultural farms have already been organized in all districts and county of the city, she said, adding:

Greenhouses covering several thousand square meters, and one or two hectares of flower gardens have been constructed in the city.

Flowers to be cultivated there will be planted in streets, residential quarters, parks and recreation grounds in the city.

Recently, General Secretary Kim Jong Il visited the Pyongyang Floricultural Institute and called for invigorating the campaign for cultivating and planting flowers throughout the country.
