Bronze Sculpture "Ancient Nigerian Queen"

Pyongyang, March 7 (KCNA) -- Bronze sculpture "Ancient Nigerian Queen" is on show at the International Friendship Exhibition House in the DPRK. It is a gift General Secretary Kim Jong Il received from Sani Abacha, head of State and commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, in August Juche 86 (1997).
The sculpture portrays the face of an ancient Nigerian queen putting on high-cut and pointed crown. The crown with national patterns carved in relief has decorative rings in upper parts of the ears. It is a custom of Nigeria to present such queen sculpture to a great man. |
