China's Daily on US-Japan-S. Korea Military Exercises
Pyongyang, March 7 (KCNA) -- People's Daily, a newspaper of China, on March 3 carried an article titled "The U.S., Japan and south Korea tear balloon of detente by 'military demos' on the same day".

Noting that the situation of the Korean Peninsula has been rendered tense again by the U.S.-south Korea Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises and the U.S.-Japan joint military drills started on Feb. 28, the article elaborated on the fact that those military maneuvers are aimed to round off war preparations for aggression on the DPRK and hold a military hegemony in Northeast Asia.

It is not by chance that the U.S. troops launched the military drills on the same day, it said, adding:

The U.S. troops have never relaxed their pace for consolidating the military presence in East Asia even a moment.

News analysts claim that the U.S. seeks, through the two exercises, to show other countries not only the action in concert of the U.S.-Japan-south Korea alliance but also ability of conducting large-scale wars simultaneously, to say nothing of knocking into shape the alliance and the military demonstration.

These military maneuvers are as good as tearing a balloon of detente with a dagger.

The boom of military exercises made the Korean Peninsula a focus of the world again.

The temporary stillness has already gone and the confused phase, in which change is unpredictable, is further dimming the future of Northeast Asia.
