S. Korean Police Accused of Its Crackdown upon Innocent People
Pyongyang, March 7 (KCNA) -- The representative of the south Korean Democratic Labor Party accused the police of incriminating innocent people by invoking the "National Security Law" under the patronage of the present "government".

The number of those who were booked for violations of the NSL by the police from 2008 to late in last year increased more than 2.5 times as compared with that in the period of its predecessor while that of those prosecuted for offenses dropped by half, he noted, adding:

This is because the police are indiscriminately invoking the NSL in a bid to "arrest as many people as possible," prompted by their ambition to attain big results as their work is estimated by the number of the arrested and detained under the present "government".
