Hunger Strike for Settlement of Issue of Support to Korean Schools in Japan
Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- A hunger strike was staged by Japan-resident Koreans and Japanese citizens in Takarazuka City, Hyogo Prefecture of Japan, on Feb. 26 in demand of the application of the tuition-waiver program to the Korean schools.

Hiromi Tanaka, a member of the "Takarazuka Citizens Society for Supporting Korean Schools", said that it was a shameful behavior to discriminate against the Korean schools alone, declaring that the hunger strike was an expression of indignation at the Japanese government.

Many Koreans in Japan and Japanese citizens conducted a signature campaign and other actions to join in their struggle.
