Pullout of US Forces from S. Korea Urged
Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Democratic Labor Party of south Korea released a commentary on Feb. 28 to demand the pullout of the U.S. forces from south Korea.

The commentary recalled that a soldier of the Second Division of the U.S. imperialist aggression forces assaulted an old couple with a lethal weapon in Tongduchon, Kyonggi Province on Feb. 26.

GIs continue committing crimes backed by the unequal south Korea-U.S. "Status of Forces Agreement" which stipulates that the U.S. forces shall not be punished for crimes committed by them while on duty, it deplored.

It said that the GI criminals, who ran an armored car over two schoolgirls Sin Hyo Sun and Sim Mi Son to death in 2002, were declared not guilty under this agreement.

It stressed that the U.S. forces should be withdrawn from this land at an early date in order to root out the GIs' crimes and achieve the peace in the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia.

Meanwhile, the Tongduchon City Committee of the DLP and the Headquarters of the Movement for the Withdrawal of the U.S. Forces in their statements on Feb. 27 and 28 demanded the punishment of the GI who committed violence against the old couple.
