Anti-Japanese Joint Statement Issued
Pyongyang, March 2 (KCNA) -- The Korean Social Democratic Party and the Democratic Labor Party of south Korea issued an anti-Japanese joint statement Tuesday, the 92nd anniversary of the March First Popular Uprising.

The two parties bitterly condemned Japan for whitewashing its blood-stained past of aggression and plunder, far from making apology and reparation for the indelible hideous unethical crimes it committed against the Korean nation. They also blamed Japan for running amuck to attain its ambition for reinvasion of Korea and other Asian countries with the backing of the U.S., the statement said.

The two parties will resolutely reject the evermore undisguised triangular military tie-ups among the U.S., Japan and south Korea and wage dynamic struggle to shatter the moves of the Japanese militarists for reinvasion, it noted, and went on:

The two parties will stage unflinching actions to check and frustrate the anachronistic moves of the sycophantic and treacherous forces to tighten the "alliance" with outside forces and cooperate with them.

They will fully expose and denounce the dangerous moves of the sycophantic and treacherous forces unhesitatingly joining hands with sworn enemy Japan. Japan is now harassing peace on the Korean Peninsula and increasing the danger of war there while looking for an opportunity to stage a comeback to it. The two parties will positively struggle to shatter the moves.

The two parties will wage a more dynamic struggle to achieve the peace and reunification of the country under the uplifted banner of independence against outside forces by inheriting patriotism, the self-sacrificing spirit and the spirit of independence displayed by the participants of the March First Popular Uprising.

They will also take the lead in the grand march of the fellow countrymen for peace and reunification under the uplifted banner of the north-south joint declarations and thus discharge their sacred mission and duty for the times and the nation.
