Costa Rica to Boost Activities against Racism
Pyongyang, March 1 (KCNA) -- The government of Costa Rica is to boost the approval of the Inter-American Convention against Racism.

As part of this activity, the government announced the creation of the Afro-Costa Rican National Commission on Feb. 24.

The commission is said to be in charge of the activities related to the celebration of this year the United Nations International Year of the Afro-descendants.

The Afro-descendant people represent 9 percent of the population in Costa Rica.
