Repression of Reunification Champion Flailed in S. Korea
Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- Youth and student organizations in south Korea on Feb. 24 criticized the puppet prosecution for its scheme to remand Yun Ki Jin, ex-chairman of the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance of Youth and Students for Korea's Reunification.

The prosecution authorities requested an arrest warrant for Yun on the charge of violation of the "National Security Law", finding fault with an article written by him in jail.

Slashing at this behavior, the Youth Solidarity in a statement said: Yun had to serve his term of imprisonment for the mere reason that he worked hard for the country's independent and peaceful reunification and social democracy. Not content with this, the prosecution again requested the warrant of arrest for Yun who is to be set free at the expiration of his term. It is a very deplorable deed.

The statement demanded that the "government" abrogate the NSL, an evil law against human rights, as early as possible and set free all of those detained on unreasonable charges.

The Youth and Students Solidarity for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration in a commentary branded the said behavior as an unprecedented repression.

The youth and students will surely call the prosecution authorities to task for such inhumane deed, said the commentary.
