Wrongdoings of Authorities Criticized in S. Korea
Pyongyang, February 27 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Democratic Labor Party of south Korea in a commentary on Feb. 24 protested the police authorities for blocking rallies and demos.

The commentary charged that the police authorities disallowed political parties and civic and social organization to hold rally and demonstration under unreasonable pretext of possible traffic trouble.

The non-permission is truly intended to keep Chongwadae from hearing the public voice critical of the present authorities and the "Grand National Party", it said.

After the emergence of the present regime the economy collapsed, democracy deteriorated and the inter-Korean relations went back to irrevocable phase, it noted.

It urged the police not to infringe upon the freedom of assembly and demonstration, basic rights of the people, in an effort to fawn on the power.

The spokesman also issued a commentary on Feb. 23 to criticize the authorities for having fostered irregularities and corruption through the project for improving four big rivers.
