Sports School Famous for Training Promising Footballers
Pyongyang, February 26 (KCNA) -- The Pothonggang District Sports School for School Youth and Children in Pyongyang was well known with 2010 U-16 Asia Cup as an occasion.

Five players of the DPRK national team which won the cup graduated from this school.

Forward Jo Kwang scored four goals at the cup by displaying his feat. He scored three goals in the semi-finals with the Jordanian rival and one goal in the finals with the Uzbek rival, enabling his team to win the cup.

Half back Pak Myong Song, goal keeper An Kang Chol and all other graduates from the school did their best in the matches, making great contributions to the team's winning of the title.

The school produced many promising boys and girls footballers in the past.

Nam Song Guk, Kim Song Hui and Choe Yong Sim of the Pyongyang Sports Team and Jo Jong Chol of the Rimyongsu Sports Team cut conspicuous figures at international tournaments.

Kim Song Hui greatly contributed to the DPRK team's winning of the title at the 3rd World Youth Women's Soccer Championship. She received silver football spikes there.

The school won national tournaments several times including national sports tournaments among sports schools of school youth and children.

Hundreds of graduates from this school are active at premier football teams in the country.
