Foreign Newspapers Observe Kim Jong Il's Birthday
Pyongyang, February 25 (KCNA) -- Newspapers of different countries carried special write-ups to celebrate the birthday of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Russia's newspaper Selskaya Zhyzn on Feb. 15 carried an article titled "Life for the People" with a photo of Kim Jong Il giving field guidance to a factory.

The article cited facts to show his personality as a great man who makes ceaseless journey of great devotion for the country's prosperity and people's happiness, regarding his birthday as an ordinary workday.

The Feb. 14th issue of a Vietnamese newspaper carried an article titled "Kim Jong Il Revered by People" with photos of him inspecting units of the Korean People's Army and giving field guidance to different sectors of the national economy.

The Feb. 15th issue of a Syrian paper ran articles under such titles as "Power of Independence", "Kim Jong Il and Policy of Trust" with photos of him.

The Lao paper Pasason on Feb. 16 edited an article titled "Kim Jong Il, Dear Son of the People" with a photo of him acknowledging the cheering crowd at the platform of Kim Il Sung Square.

Other newspapers of this country also carried similar articles with his photos on February 15 and 16.

The Feb. 11th issue of the British paper The New Worker edited a photo of Kim Jong Il waving back to the cheering soldiers with illustration.
