Media of Various Countries Mark Kim Jong Il's Birthday
Pyongyang, February 25 (KCNA) -- TV and radios of different countries broadcasted special reports and Korean films in celebration of February 16, the birthday of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

On Feb. 16 TV of Equatorial Guinea reported that Kim Jong Il has wisely led the army and people of the DPRK and thus performed great feats in political, military, economic and all other fields.

On Feb. 15 a radio of this country said that the traditional friendly relations between Equatorial Guinea and the DPRK have invariably developed on good terms despite all sorts of challenges and they are now making great contribution to the common interests of the two peoples in the efforts to defend independence and sovereignty.

The central TV of Syria on Feb. 16 broadcasted a Korean film on Kim Jong Il's energetic external activities while its radio aired a special report celebrating his birthday.

On the same day, TV of Nakhodka, Russia, broadcasted scenes on activities of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il with melody of "Song of General Kim Jong Il" as background music.

Russia's 1TV and Vesti 24 TV of Khabarovsk Maritime Territory on Feb. 16 and 17 telecasted activities of Kim Jong Il with Korean song "Thunder over Jong Il Peak" and events held in the DPRK to celebrate his birthday.

The central TV of Vietnam and the state-run TV of Finland reported on Feb. 15 and 16 about grand celebrations of Kim Jong Il's birthday in the DPRK with his photo.

An Ecuadorian TV broadcasted Korean film "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation" on Feb. 12 and 13.

The C. Equis 36 Radio Centenario of Uruguay aired Korean song "The General Is the Son of the Guerrillas" three times on Feb. 16.

That day the state radio of Uganda reported that the Korean people celebrate the birthday of Kim Jong Il as the greatest national holiday every year.
