S. Korean Chief Executive Criticized for Serious Problems
Pyongyang, February 24 (KCNA) -- The south Korean newspaper Hangyore on Monday said the reason that the south Korean situation has become more serious is the chief executive's shirking of responsibility.

At a gathering with reporters at Chongwadae (presidential office) on Feb. 20 three years after he got into office, the chief executive made no comment or gave insincere answers to their questions concerning sensitive social issues, said the newspaper in an editorial.

His attitude arouses public suspicion that he tries to shirk his responsibility for tough problems, it said, adding:

The people's livelihood is getting worse because of such problems as foot-and-mouth diseases, sharp price hike and unemployment. But it is hard to find the role of the "president" and Chongwadae as state affairs coordinator.

The "president" quickly appears for live TV broadcasting only when he has something to advertise.

The press gathering clearly revealed again the reason for the serious problems.
