Japan Organizes Anti-DPRK Spy Agency
Pyongyang, February 24 (KCNA) -- It has been revealed that Japan set up an intelligence service some time ago to gather information on the DPRK and China.

The Australian newspaper Sydney Morning Herald reported that the intelligence service was formed under the Cabinet Information Office, modeled on CIA and M.I.6.

Information officials of the U.S. State Department and the Japanese Cabinet reportedly discussed the organization of a spy agency in October 2008.

At the discussion the Japanese official told his U.S. counterpart that what is most urgent for Japan is to gather information on China and the DPRK, as well as information for preventing terrorism.

There existed an intelligence office in Japan called "Yamasaki" in the period of the Korean war (1950-1953). It, involving intelligence officers of the imperial army, was affiliated to the intelligence bureau of the UN Command, following the U.S. instructions. Its agents supplied the U.S. forces with detailed information about the DPRK's military facilities, harbors, factories, schools and hospitals.

The new revelation shows that Japan has persistently engaged in anti-DPRK plots.
