Fine Art Exhibition Draws Endless Stream of Visitors
Pyongyang, February 24 (KCNA) -- The national fine art exhibition for celebrating February 16, birthday of General Secretary Kim Jong Il, is drawing an endless stream of service personnel, people from all walks of life and school youth and children.

Watching Korean painting "Morning in February", acryl painting "No motherland without you", oil painting "Torchlight kindled in Kangson in December" and other works, they deeply grasp the personality of Kim Jong Il as a great man who has demonstrated the dignity and might of Kim Il Sung's nation.

Pak Kum Chol, 39, worker of the Pyongyang 326 Electric Wire Factory, said that Korean painting "Saying that President Kim Il Sung's behests have been implemented at last", oil painting "Great general has brought about a great auspicious event to the country", etc. make a truthful artistic representation of the historical fact that Kim Jong Il has carved out the future of a rich and powerful country with his energetic Songun revolutionary leadership.

Ri Hyok, 22, student at Kim Chaek University of Technology, noted that embroidery "Kimjongilia" strong in national flavor which is done with exquisite skill and Korean painting "Warm Feelings in Huichon" depict the personality of Kim Jong Il as a great man who is translating the plan of Kim Il Sung for building a rich and powerful country into a reality and the faith and will of all the service personnel and people of the DPRK to dynamically push ahead with the building of a thriving nation.

The exhibition opened with due ceremony at the Pyongyang International Cultural Centre on Feb. 11
