Mass-based Performing Activities Brisk
Pyongyang, February 23 (KCNA) -- The art groups of employees of the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex and the February 8 Vinalon Complex gave performances at the People's Palace of Culture here, drawing capacity audiences.

They staged colorful numbers of high cognitional and educational values as they truthfully represented the spirit of the workers who are making a breakthrough in the drive to build an economic power.

Mass-based performing activities are a unique art style in the DPRK imbuing people with revolutionary enthusiasm and optimism.

Mass-based performing activities are diverse in their organization.

These activities are brisk in the army with a company as a unit while they are regularly conducted by art groups of family members of servicepersons. Performing activities are also brisk at institutions, industrial establishments and rural villages.

Performances are also given by family members of workers and office workers.

These performing activities are often introduced by TV and other media.

Noteworthy in mass-based performing activities is that thematic contents, styles and methods of performing activities conducted by soldiers serve as examples to be followed by the art groups of society.

General Secretary Kim Jong Il has pursued a unique policy of music. Whenever he visited KPA units and industrial establishments, he spared time to watch art performances given by them and highly appreciated their success.
