Jangsan Revolutionary Site Draws Endless Stream of Visitors
Pyongyang, February 21 (KCNA) -- The Jangsan Revolutionary Site in Ryonmot-dong, Sosong District in Pyongyang is drawing an endless stream of visitors on the occasion of the birthday of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

There are in the site relics telling about how Kim Jong Il took part in the project for expanding the Wasan-dong-Ryongsong road upholding the far-reaching plan of President Kim Il Sung for building the capital city during his revolutionary activities at Kim Il Sung University.

There is also the historic site where Kim Jong Il mounted Mt. Jang with students of Pyongyang Middle School No. 1 to plant trees to make a new history of forestation and guided military trainings of students of the then Pyongyang Namsan Senior Middle School and Kim Il Sung University several times.

This revolutionary site was opened to visitors on the occasion of February 16, 1977, the birthday of Kim Jong Il.

The site has since been visited by at least 6.87 million servicepersons, people from all walks of life, school youth and children, foreign friends and overseas compatriots, according to data available.
