US Urged to Stop Projected War Exercises against DPRK
Pyongyang, February 21 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification demanded the U.S. stop the moves for war exercises against the DPRK.

A commentary made public by it on Feb. 17 accused the U.S. of working hard to stage Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises with the south Korean authorities with huge troops involved.

Last year the U.S. instigated the south Korean authorities to wage war maneuvers year-round under the pretext of Cheonan warship sinking, driving the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the phase of an all-out war, it said, adding:

The U.S. plan of war exercises reveals its attempt to escalate confrontation on the Korean Peninsula and put the finishing touches on the triangular military alliance with Japan and south Korea.

Its war scenario can never come true, the commentary said. It demanded the U.S. halt at once the planned exercises.
