Police Crimes Increase in Japan
Pyongyang, February 20 (KCNA) -- Police officers and staff members submitted to disciplinary punishment in Japan last year total 385, or 60 percent higher than in the previous year.

Of them, 48 were dismissed, a record high since 2003. 70 were suspended from their duties and 136 degraded.

76 of the disciplined stole lost things sent to police stands for giving back to their owners and 55 performed immoral sexual acts.

Many of them are middle-aged police officers.

The increasing police crimes provide a glimpse of Japanese society's true colors.

Admittedly, the crime situation in Japan is very serious.

In 2009, about 1.7 million crimes, including robbery and rape, were recorded in the country, and 174 cases of drug smuggling detected at Narita Airport.

It is shameful for Japan, styling itself a law-governed state, that policemen perpetrate all sorts of wrongdoings, deviating from their duty to prevent crimes.
