Foreign Media Celebrates Kim Jong Il's Birthday
Pyongyang, February 20 (KCNA) -- Russian and Malaysian media contributed special write-ups to the birthday of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Russian newspaper Patriot No. 6 carried his portrait as well as his photo standing together with President Kim Il Sung when giving articles under various titles. His photos on revolutionary activities were also given in the paper.

An article titled "Successor to the Great Leader" said that the issue for carrying forward the revolutionary cause was successfully solved in the DPRK by Kim Jong Il, a man of pen and sword.

An article titled "The Songun Politics for Korea and the World" introduced the historical circumstances of the birth of the Songun politics. The Songun politics encourages the people in their efforts for independence and lasting peace and stability of the world. The human cause of independence will surely win victory, the article added.

Articles titled "Son of the People" and "Leader of Creation" elaborated on Kim Jong Il's noble view of the people and his Songun politics serving the people.

A TV broadcast of Khabarovsk Territory, Russia, released special reports several times on February 13 and 14. It showed Kim Jong Il acknowledging the cheering masses and giving field guidance to units of the People's Army and various fields of the national economy.

The February 12th issue of the Malaysian newspaper Guang Ming Daily carried an article titled "Leader Kim Jong Il and His Birthday" with his portrait. It praised the peerlessly great man who devotes even his birthday to the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people.

The paper also carried photos of Kimjongilia and birthplace of Kim Jong Il in the Paektusan Secret Camp.
