Foreigners Praise Kim Jong Il's Exploits
Pyongyang, February 20 (KCNA) -- Meetings took place in Democratic Congo, Bangladesh, Brazil and Mongolia on February 10 and 11 to mark the birthday of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Speakers included Rohekele Andre, president of the Working Citizens' Association who doubles as chairman of the Democratic Congolese preparatory committee for celebrating February 16, the birthday of Kim Jong Il, and Otete Gaston Mboyo, chairman of the Democratic Congo-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Association. They praised the exploits by Kim Jong Il before the times, the revolution, the country and the people.

Rashed Khan Menon, chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Bangladesh, Hasanul Huq Inu, chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Bangladesh National Socialist Party, Ragib Ahsan Munna, secretary general of the Bangladesh-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Committee, and other speakers said that the DPRK took up the position of politico-ideological and military power, scientific and technical power and nuclear weapons state under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il.

Jose Gil de Almeida, chairman of the Brazilian Committee for Solidarity with the DPRK, noted that the DPRK would always demonstrate its might as a fortress of independence and peace as it is led by Kim Jong Il who is defending peace with Songun.

D. Bilegt, general secretary of the Federation of Peace and Friendship Organizations of Mongolia, said that under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il the Korean people have achieved great successes in building a thriving nation. He extended warm congratulations to the Korean people celebrating his birthday.

A message of greetings to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the meeting held in Democratic Congo.
