US Measure for Cuba Prompted by Sinister Intention
By Ri Kyong
Pyongyang, February 19 (KCNA) -- The United States decided to ease restrictions on Cuba tourism and remittance.

U.S. students and religious organizations are reportedly allowed to visit Cuba.

U.S. airports will start services of flights bound for Cuba, some of them having already done.

The United States describes the measure as a product of the effort for improvement of relations with Cuba and as a thing for the Cuban people.

But it is the public opinion that the measure is a hypocritical one.

The United States applies the measure only to students and religious organizations armed with the view of American-style "liberty" and "democracy".

What is worse, Cuban governmental officials or Communist Party members can not be remittees.

News analysts are of the view that the U.S. measure is a psychological operation for giving rise to mistrust and disunion in Cuba.

If the United States truly wants to see improved ties with Cuba and do something favorable for the Cuban people, it should not apply limitation to the measure.

It is unreasonable for the United States to talk about "easing" and "improvement of relations", while failing to implement the UN resolution calling for lifting the anti-Cuba blockade.

The United States should not play a poor trick but fundamentally revise the anachronistic Cuba policy.
