Kim Jong Il's Birthday Celebrated Abroad
Pyongyang, February 14 (KCNA) -- Seminars, photo exhibitions and film shows were held in Nepal and Ethiopia between Feb. 3 and 7 to celebrate the birthday of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Displayed at their venues were photos on his feats.

Present there were personages of the Nepalese national preparatory committee for commemorating the Day of the Sun and February 16, the Afro-Asian People's Solidarity Committee of Nepal and the Ethiopian Youth Study Group of the Juche Idea and its branch and the masses of those countries.

The seminars dealt with the feats of Kim Jong Il reliably defending the cause of socialism and wisely leading the Korean people in the drive for building a thriving nation with the might of Songun.

The acting chairman of the Afro-Asian People's Solidarity Committee of Nepal and other speakers said that his birthday has become an auspicious holiday of not only the Korean people but also the world progressives struggling for independence for his great idea and wise leadership and precious feats.

The secretary general of the Ethiopian Youth Study Group of the Juche Idea said that the Juche idea is the idea that the Ethiopian youth and people should follow.

Kim Jong Il has made great contribution to peace and development of not only Korea but also the world, he added.

Messages of greetings to Kim Jong Il were adopted at the seminars.

The Korean films shown included "Reply of Korea" and "Korea Shining with Long History".
