Cambodian Ambassador Gives Reception
Pyongyang, February 10 (KCNA) -- Chhorn Hay, Cambodian ambassador to the DPRK, hosted a reception at his embassy on Thursday to celebrate the birthday of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Present there on invitation were Kim Yong Il, secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Ri Myong Gil, chairman of the C.C., the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea, and officials concerned.

Staff members of the embassy were on hand.

Chhorn Hay said in his speech that the friendly relations between the two countries provided by President Kim Il Sung and Great King Norodom Sihanouk are growing stronger under the deep care of leader Kim Jong Il and King Norodom Sihamoni.

The Cambodian people together with world peace-loving people fully support the peaceful policy maintained by the DPRK under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il, the ambassador stressed.

Kim Yong Il in his speech hoped that the Cambodian people under the leadership of Norodom Sihamoni would achieve success in the work to build a peaceful and prosperous country.

He expressed belief that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries would further develop in the future.
